Advance America Taking Action for Hunger Action Month 2024
September is Hunger Action Month, a time to raise awareness and encourage action on the issue of hunger.
As part of our ongoing commitment to our local communities, Advance America is hosting a month-long food drive at all store locations in 22 states. We will be accepting non-perishable food items throughout the month, and your contributions will go directly to local organizations feeding families in need.
History of Hunger Action Month
Launched in 2008 by Feeding America, Hunger Action Month aims to inspire individuals, communities, and organizations to join the fight against hunger.
The campaign encourages a variety of activities and events throughout September, with orange as the signature color symbolizing hunger awareness.

In addition to physical hunger, food insecurity creates stress and uncertainty over where the next meal will come from.
